It is one of the smallest aquarium plants, reaching a height of 2-3 cm, making it an ideal foreground plant. However, it is a demanding plant that requires ample light. If light is insufficient, it tends to grow upwards.
Another reason for glossostigma to grow upward rather than a compact carpet is flow, make sure flow is distributed around the substrate area.
It’s important to ensure that larger plants do not overshadow it. When planting in the aquarium, small clumps (approximately 1/8 of a pot) should be placed at intervals of a few centimeters to encourage the plants to grow together more quickly. The addition of CO2 and soft water significantly promotes its growth.
