Mahogany Pod Sections

Mahogany Pod Sections come from theSwietenia macrophyllatree which is found all over South East Asia, South, and Central America as a prominent source of timber. The whole pods (which we will soon be offering) and these pod sections make incredible botanicals for our fish. They have a delicate curve to them and a very robust composition which will growsupplemental nutritionand provide hiding places for your fish for many months.These pods do not provide many tannins, but their shape pairs perfectly with neon tetras, corydoras, and especially betta fish. Though we don’t like to push medicinal properties, as they are hard to measure, these pods have flavonoids, saponins, and many humic substances which help to improve the immune system of your entire aquarium.This bag and its contents are biodegradable!Did you know our product packaging is made from renewable and sustainable sugarcane? So just like the botanicals inside, it will compost when returned to nature.
