The natural substrate based on volcanic lava is perfect for any freshwater aquarium. In order to provide optimal conditions for plant growth, AF Lava Soil was enriched with precious minerals. This natural substrate gradually releases minerals into the water, and, due to the high porosity, it supports the multiplication of beneficial microorganisms. The unique structure of AF Lava Soil facilitates the rooting of aquatic plants and prevents the formation of anaerobic zones in which bacteria that can produce toxic hydrogen sulfide to develop. It guarantees better water circulation in the substrate of the tank, which facilitates balanced distribution of nutrients and improves its absorption by the plants.

The substrate is thoroughly rinsed, however, right after filling the aquarium with water a slight water haziness may occur. The haziness is natural, does not cause any side effects and disappears after about 12 hours.
