Exact sizing depends on the severity of your winter conditions, but in general we recommend the 250 watt unit for ponds under 400 gallons, the 750 watt unit for ponds between 400 and 1000 and the 1500 watt unit for ponds over 1000. Multiple units may be necessary for large ponds.
