Seachem Flourish Excel

Flourish Excel provides bioavailable organic carbon essential for plant growth. It can be used alone or with CO2 to benefit plant growth, especially in situations where adding more CO2 could lead to low pH levels. Additionally, Flourish Excel has iron-reducing properties that promote the utilization of iron by plants. By bypassing the need for CO2, Flourish Excel introduces structurally similar compounds that support the carbon chain building process of photosynthesis.

At Horizon Aquatics we use it as part of our fertilising routine unless there are more sensitive plants like vallisneria, riccardia moss, lotus species, we use APT FIXlite as an alternative. We see flourish excel and other carbon dosing products as more of an algicide.

Directions:

On initial use or after a major (>40%) water change, use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 40 L (10 US gallons). Thereafter use 1capful for every 200 L (50 US gallons) daily or every other day. For smaller dosing please note that each cap thread is approximately 1 mL.
