EXXODUS NITRYX

Exxodus – Nitryx are highly porous filtration media designed for use in all aquariums and aquatic systems. They literally have the world’s highest filtering surface area by far, yet provide perfect flow! Each liter of Exxodus – Nitryx provides over 26,000 square feet of surface area inside for bacterial colonization, providing nitrification (if used aerobically) and vast amounts of anaerobic or anoxic surface area to enhance denitrification.

In addition, Exxodus – Nitryx is unique in that it is equipped with sulfur particles which act as an electron donor to cultivate large quantities of anaerobic bacteria to provide tremendous denitrification capacity – far greater than any other known material. It can be used as a primary or sole means of bacterial denitrification. It works extremely well in nano aquariums as well as systems of all sizes. It is particularly suitable for live rock reef systems, including FOWLR systems, and will not cause problems like those caused by denitrification alcohol. Use in a tank filter, reactor or other type of aquarium filter with low water flow.

Designed primarily to be submerged, to aid in anaerobic or anoxic conditions.

Use in aquariums.

For maximum results, it should be used simultaneously with Reef BioPellet Fuel carbon sources, Reef Micro Fuel for saltwater aquariums and Flora Viv Prolifera for freshwater aquariums as a growth accelerator and BacterGen – MD to kick-start biology and maintain the colonization process at elevated levels.

Protocol instructions.

Use at least 160 ml of Exxodus Nitryx for every 400 L of aquarium, more if it has a high live load. Gently rinse Exxodus Nitryx with distilled or aquarium water. Place the product in a plastic bucket submerged in aquarium water and add the recommended dosage of BacterGen MD for your aquarium size. Allow the product to remain hydrated for 24 hours, gently stirring the water occasionally. Place the inoculated Exxodus Nitryx in your filter. To avoid fouling, it is recommended to use a pre-filter, sponge or other mechanical pre-filter.

Caution: do not put it in a fluidise filter and do not allow it to rub against moving parts.

The material may wear out due to mechanical action and produce dust.
